As seems to be the case, life gets busy and we don't get to blogging.  So here are the highlights of the last month of last year.
For me, I had oral surgery.  Left a lovely bruise on my face, but it was gone by the holidays.  Still has not totally resolve my issue, but am dealing with it in other ways.
Our children and grand daughters from Texas, Nathan, Hannah, Lydia, Audrey and Katie flew in around the 12th of the month for the wedding of Joel to Kelsey.  They arrived just in time to celebrate Johanna's 10th birthday.

Joel and Kelsey joined their lives on the 14th.

You may notice that we are not in the photos.  We were not invited, but we pray for God's blessings on Joel and Kelsey and for God to bring about reconciliation with them and us.

The following day we celebrated Christmas at our house in FL with all our gifts.  The reason is because the youngest 7 children and I, along with all the Texas Blikstads drove to Texas to celebrate the holidays there.  Later in the month Jonathan, Zach and Caleb flew down to Texas when they got off work.  Later Zach and Caleb flew home and the rest of us drove back to Florida on January 3.  We had a super great time. Lots of fun, relaxation, and time to catch a breath before the sports season and school began again.

Wow, leaves to jump in.  We don't get these in Florida.
