June 2015~by Beth

June began in Ohio.  Jon was still in Florida teaching until the 8th.  The children and I enjoyed fun with family and swimming in Grandma's pool.

Of course we stopped at the Creation Museum, this time with Dad, on our way from Ohio to Dallas, TX.

We have a brand new baby granddaughter at Nathan's house so we made a week stop there before heading home to Florida.  We visited the Dallas Arboretum, Katie's gym, the Aquatics center and a few other fun places.  What a blessing to be there.  The best part was being with all our children and grandchildren.  Jon even helped Nathan build his girls a bunk bed.

After we got home the kids started their golf lessons on Monday mornings.  They got a yellow shirt this year.  We also celebrated Stephen's 7th birthday and then had our soccer end of year party on Saturday morning and later David's graduation party that afternoon.  In July we hope to paint the house, as well as get some other projects done.

May 2015~by Beth

Busy, busy May.  We had so many things going on this month.  Charity and Christiana had their birthdays this month.  Christiana, Charity and Emma also had their piano recital.  Johanna will become a student of Mrs. Vander Pol in August.

After the soccer tournament we finished up our school year and had David's graduation.  It was a very nice service and day.  Later we went out to dinner at my favorite place, Foster's, with David and Joel and Kelsey.  It was a great day.

Before we left for our trip we also celebrated Christiana and Caleb's birthday.  We went to swim at Joel and Kelsey's pool the same day.

The seven youngest children and I left on Memorial Day for Nashville, TN for our ATI conference.  After it ended we drove through the night up to the Creation Museum.  Later in the day we drove on up to the Cleveland area and visited Beth's family.  After Jon finished up his teaching he flew in to Ohio on June 8th.

The van had some transmission issues (leaking fluid) so we had it into the shop in Nashville.  Then, I hit a pot hole in Ohio that threw out the right tire and it had to be repaired.  Besides that it drove fine, though the blower for the ac stopped working in the front when we were in Tampa.  The back worked so I just drove home the last 2 hours fanning myself.  It was nice to sleep in our own beds when we got home.  From Ohio we went to Dallas and visited in June.  More on that in the next post.
