Lanai project~by Beth

I decided to spruce up the lanai since we had not done anything with it.  Pretty plain, huh.

Jon had picked up a carpet piece off the side of the road some months ago, unused.  I had to cut the edge straight for a usable piece.  With the help of my utility knife, Amish yardstick, and cup of coffee, I made quick work of it.

Here is the palette of color I used to stencil.  We used the colors of some material I purchased for pillows.

I selected a butterfly theme and began to stencil the first color.  Then go in and clean.  Stencil next color, go in and fold laundry.  Lather, rinse, repeat.  You get the idea.
With new chairs and small table as a gift from the children, and a pair of wrought iron butterfly wall art, and the pillows I made, here is the finished product.  What do you think?

As the weather cools, we will be using this a lot.  Grandma and Grandpa will be here soon and can test it out.
