Basketball is in full swing

January and February are prime months for us to play basketball here. Our home school team is doing well. Presently we are undefeated in our conference. This means we will be traveling up to the state playoffs in March. Joel is a starter on the Varsity, and Caleb plays a good deal. Zachary and David are on the Middle School squad. They both play a lot. Both have started for me (I'm the coach!).

A COLD day in February in Florida-from Beth

I knew that I would be getting up with Jon's alarm to make hot cocoa (the good kind with bakers chocolate and sweetened condensed milk)because it was going to be cold. It was 30 degrees when Joel looked at 7am. That is cold for around here. The picture above was taken at 9am. It is kind of fun to have these unusually low temps since we have much higher ones most of the year. This cold snap won't last long. By the weekend it will be in the mid to upper 70's.
We have been so busy with all the work involved in applying for scholarships. I hope that soon we will not be so swamped and update more often. I want to post and put pics on of the boys in basketball (two in jv and two in varsity).
Till then, I'm off to a game
